Winifred Chapman

On Friday afternoon, January 24, 2020, Bill Chapman went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill was a man that loved the Lord and was a servant willing to go wherever God led. He was active in serving the Lord right up to the time God called him home. Please pray for Winifred as she continues to serve the Lord in whatever He brings her way.

The Chapmans joined Church Planters to America in September 2009 after 41 years of local church ministry. Pastor Chapman, formerly from New Hampshire, had been an assistant pastor in Virginia for three years prior to joining Church Planters To America.

The Chapman’s first field of service after joining C.P.A. was serving as interim pastor at a church in Peekskill, New York. The Lord then led Bill and Winifred to Temple Baptist Church in June 2010. Temple Baptist Church is in Norwich, New York where the Chapmans served for nearly two years.

In December 2013, the Chapmans were called to serve as pastor of the the First Baptist Church in Killawog, New York.

In 2015, the Chapmans transitioned to serving the Lord and Church Planters to America as field representatives based in Norfolk, Virginia.

In 2016, the Chapmans moved to Olcott, New York to serve as interim pastor at the Olcott Bible Church while search for a permanent full-time pastor. After service in Olcott, the Chapmans returned to Norfolk, Virginia where Winifred currently resides.
